DEPRIVED IKEA shoppers in Teignbridge will have their frowns turned upside down as the popular outlet is creeping closer to the district.

Workmen are currently building a new store on the edge of the M5 near Exeter Chiefs’ home ground, Sandy Park

News of the store’s latest venture will come as a tonic for local customers who have to travel more than 100 miles to the nearest Swedish superstore in Bristol.

The Exeter store is expected to open next summer bringing more than 300 jobs to the area.
