THOSE who missed out on the Coronation festivities in one Dartmoor village need have worried, for their local Scout group stepped up and played courier.

Moretonhampstead Scouts took up the call last weekend, delivering as many as 40 cream teas to residents in the village, who, for one reason or another, could not attend the live-screening of His Majesty's Coronation at the Parish Hall.

Moretonhampstead Parish Council expressed its thanks to the Scout Group, as well as several residents who commended the group's service.
