SEVERAL fire crews attended a Road Traffic Collision (RTC) at the weekend that saw a vehicle come off the A38.

Crews from Bovey Tracey, Buckfastleigh and Newton Abbot were mobilised on Saturday, September 9, to the RTC at Goodstone.

Working closely with their colleagues from the ambulance service, the firefighters managed to extricate the female casualty, which proved to be a challenge due to where the car had come to rest.

The casualty was given care by the South West Ambulance Service Trust team, and conveyed to hospital for further observations.
