A BELOVED school summer fair made its return on Friday, July 8, to the joy of many.
Bradley Barton Primary School & Nursery’s summer fair featured a range of actives for everyone to enjoy: a penalty shoot out, wet sponge throwing and much more besides.
The summer fair, which was officially opened by Newton Abbot Mayor, Cllr Carol Bunday, drew hundreds and hundreds and people to the school in the Bradley Valley.
Mayor Cllr Carol Bunday said: ‘What a fantastic afternoon, it is lovely to see so many people here, obviously it has been a couple of years since we have been able to get together like this and it is amazing to finally be back.’
A popular draw was the summer raffle which featured a wide array of prizes up for grabs, including but not limited too: a family ticket for South Devon Railway, a meal for two at The Star Inn and a £200 Halford voucher.
The summer fair was organised by Bradley Barton Primary School PTFA who took to their Facebook page to thank those who made the event what it was.
‘Thank you to everyone who came along to our Summer Fair.
‘It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces - we hope you and your families enjoyed it as much as we did -what a day!
‘None of this would thave been possible without our incredible army of volunteers.
‘More than sixty parents, grandparents, teachers, governors and friends who gave up their time to help ensure it was a success, many stayed for longer than planned, or swapped stalls halfway through.
‘We’re so grateful - thank you so much.’
