KINGSKERSWELL Pantomime Committee stages its 52nd panto when its production Humpty Dumpty takes to the stage at the village hall, from Monday, January 25 until Saturday, January 30.

Teenage student Matthew Baker takes the part of Humpty Dumpty. Last year he played in the production of Sinbad and in a panto before that was one of the Babes, in Babes in the Wood.

The principal boy is being played by Lacey Coombe who has been with the Kingskerswell group since she was nine years old, and 21-year-old Stephanie Partridge is the principal girl. She has been with them since she was seven.

There are 19 in the cast of the pantomime, which is being produced by Sheila Jeffery.

She directed for some 14 years and was wardrobe mistress for 30 years.

This is Sheila’s second production – she took over the role following the death of Stan Blackmore in 2014.

He had started a panto in the village in 1965, originally setting it up for charity. On that occasion raising £100 for the Sunshine Homes for Blind Children, a lot of money in those days.

The pantomime Humpty Dumpty, in the Village Hall, Kingskerswell, will be on stage each evening with a matinee on the Saturday.
