A plan for a major housing and commercial development on the old Polish camp site at Ilford Park and two areas of woodland bordering Stover Park has been described as 'soulless' 'arrogant' and 'opportunistic'.

Members of Teignbridge Council development control committee savaged outline plans by Arnold White Estates Ltd for 450 houses, business park, petrol filling station, budget hotel and pub at their meeting on Monday.
