A TEIGNMOUTH pub is calling for support to help fund a defibrillator.

The Blue Anchor, the first port of call for many a Teignmouthian, is to install a defibrillator at its premises and while the drinking establishment is providing half the funds, including ten pence from every pint sold on the festival bar this weekend, it is asking for support with fundraising events to raise the remaining monies.

A spokesman for The Blue Anchor said: ‘We will be asking for any help you guys can give to raise the other £900 needed for purchase.

‘To start this off we will be having a few fundraisers this weekend, so keep your eyes peeled at the pub and on here for some chances to win prizes while helping to raise funds for this potentially life saving equipment, so every sip of drink can taste all that bit sweeter knowing it will be helping us towards achieving this.’
