A NEW life-saving heart machine has been installed in Chudleigh thanks to a heart attack survivor.
Fortunately Nova Pusey did not need the use of a defibrillator when she had a heart attack, but when she made her recovery she and her husband, Doug, decided to donate one for villagers.
Representatives of Chudleigh Sports Centre met with Nova and Doug Pusey to thank them for their generous donation of a defibrillator that has been sited at the sports centre.
After her experience, Nova resolved to donate a new defibrillator to the town.
The Sports Centre was deemed to be a good site and the device has now been installed and is ready for use for all participants in the sports based there as well as for anyone passing by.
Wil Sprenkel, chair of the sports centre, thanked Nova and Doug for their generosity and, while hoping that the need for its use never arose, appreciated the extra safeguards that the defibrillator gave the community.
