A MUM whose three-year-old boy died from the blood-poisoning condition sepsis is spearheading a special awareness campaign in Newton Abbot to mark what would have been his 10th birthday.
Sue Morrish, in memory of son Sam who died in 2010, is hoping to distribute as many as 4,000 Spotting Sepsis leaflets to primary schools around the town.
And the first to receive the helpful literature were youngsters at Canada Hill where Sam would now have been a Year 5 pupil.
Among those wishing her and her team of helpers well has been BAFTA-winning actor Jason Watkins, of Line of Duty and The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies fame.
