HIGH winds played havoc with Teignbridge roads as trees and branches tumbled across the district.
Highways staff and their chainsaws were kept busy for two-hours as they cleared multiple lumps of fallen timber across carriageways.
Across the county firefighters dealt with seven incidents involving structural damage.
In Stoneycombe, near Kingskerswell, a trampoline was collected by highways staff after it was uprooted from a garden and bounced along the road.
Two similar trampoline hazards were dealt with by firefighters in Plymouth and Paignton.
An oak tree hit the deck in Ipplepen's Woodway Road just before midday, blocking the road completely.
On the A381 Newton Abbot to Totnes road a large branch fell across the carriageway near Abbotskerwell, causing slight damage to a car. The incident was reported to police at 12.20pm.
In Ipplepen a chainsaw was needed to chop up a tree which landed across a farm road.
In Liverton's Old Town Hill area, the main road to Ilsington was blocked by a fallen branch. The incident happened just before 12.30pm.
And at Blackenstone Quarry in Moretonhampstead, a tree fell across power lines, leaving sufficient temptation for vehicles to pass underneath.
Western Power were alerted to tackle the hazard.
A police spokesman said a string of similar wind-affected incidents were reported across the two counties force area between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
