A HALLOWEEN craft session has been cancelled as a Teignbridge library announces a temporary closure.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Newton Abbot Library is closed as of today, Tuesday, October 31.

The closure means the planned Halloween Craft and Fancy Dress Competition for this afternoon has been cancelled.

'Newton Abbot Library remains closed at this time' a spokesperson said.

'Unfortunately this means that this afternoon's Halloween craft and fancy dress competition has sadly been cancelled.

'Do keep checking in for further updates regarding library reopening.

'Our apologies for the inconvenience caused' the spokesperson added.

All being well, the library hopes to be open by tomorrow, Wednesday, November 1.
