THE owner of Signature Hair and Beauty in Dawlish, Chrissy Marks, has raised £1,000 for a pair of Cyprus-based animal rescue charities.
‘I support many animal charities, including one special charity, Saving Pound Dogs Cyprus, where I got one of my dogs from nearly three years ago, and another, Cyprus Dog Rescue, which also does amazing work’ Chrissy said.
Chrissy’s business donated 50p per customer who used her salon during the weeks leading up to Christmas - she also ran a raffle.
‘The fundraiser finished on Christmas Eve and we managed to raise an amazing £966.81 - my husband and I rounded it up to £1000’ Chrissy said.
Lansdowne manager Andy Barton donated £100 and was, therefore, asked by Chrissy to announce the raffle draw.
‘I will continue to do all I can to help raise more money in the future, and I am very grateful to all who donated’ Chrissy said.
