HOLNE Garden Group are planning a coach outing to Arlington Court.

Today the group will visit the Regency-era house, set in 30 acres of grounds with plants arranged to give views from the house, carriage drives and footpaths.

After a number of large rhododendrons suffered a blight of Phytopthora they needed to be removed from the grounds but their lost colour was replaced by the introduction of spring and autumn interest plants.

The court also possesses a Victorian garden with a ha-ha and a kitchen garden.

The group will leave Holne at 10am from the Church House Inn and Dartmoor Lodge in Ashburton at 10.15am.
