A FIRE in a garage at Starcross this morning, Sunday, is believed to have been 'deliberate'.

The garage was 50 per cent damaged in the blaze which was dealt with by crews from Dawlish, Middlemoor and Danes Castle.

Fire Control reports: 'Three fire engines were mobilised following a call to control reporting a fire in the garage.

'Upon arrival the Incident Commander confirmed that there was a fire at the rear of the garage.

Throughout the incident crews used: Two breathing apparatus; One safety jet; One thermal image camera; small tools; one triple extension ladder; lighting.

'The property was 50 per cent damaged by fire, heat and smoke.

'The cause is believed to be deliberate.'
