An itinerant whose dog attacked and killed a smallholder's goats has been ordered to pay compensation of more than £800.
Brett Davie, who lives in a wagon which is currently stopped on a roadside near Littlehempston, had earlier pleaded not guilty to being in charge of a dog which had worried livestock but later changed his position.
The court heard from his solicitor, Hugh Ogilvy, that Davie, 47, had initially not believed his dog was capable of such an attack, but had then learned otherwise from an animal behaviourist.
