MORETONHAMPSTEAD Carnival’s much anticipated food and drink festival makes a welcome return to the moorland town next weekend.
Now in its fifth year, the day-long festival on Saturday, August 17, promises a delightful day for both foodies and families alike.
Running from 10 am to 4 pm, the event will transform Cross Street into a bustling hub of culinary excellence with numerous locally-based businesses all vying for gastronaut’s attention.
Building on the success of previous years, many popular vendors including Desi Junction, Baskervilles Ice Cream Parlour and Dartmoor Chilli Farm will be returning,’ said event organiser Sam Parkin.
‘Visitors can look forward to sampling the finest local food and drink that Devon has to offer, with a diverse range of exhibitors showcasing their best products.
‘We will also feature live music throughout the day, enhancing the lively atmosphere. This element was introduced last year and has quickly become a favourite among festival-goers.’
All proceeds from the festival will support the Moretonhampstead Carnival, which in turn benefits local charities.
