PANCAKE racing returns to Newton Abbot on Shrove Tuesday.
Wolborough Primary School is organising a Pancake Race in the Market Square in Newton Abbot, with the support of Teignbridge District Council.
Teams will be racing from Year 6 and hopefully there will also be a teachers’ team and a teaching assistants team. There will also be business teams taking part
Racing will begin at 10.30am on Tuesday, February 25, in the Market Square.
Sally Henley, Newton Abbot Town Development Manager, said: ‘Wolborough Primary school pupils are regular visitors to Newton Abbot town centre.
‘Shoppers have been delighted with their wonderful dancing round the Maypole and with their ‘Kindness Day’ in the past and I’m so pleased to see the return of the Pancake Race on Shrove Tuesday.
‘We love all things traditional in the town centre and I’m grateful to the school for the proactive way in which they engage with the wider community.’
