A BOVEY Tracey park has been rated as ‘five star’.
Mill Marsh Park has achieved the Royal Horticultural Society’s Southwest in Bloom ‘Pride in Parks’ five-star award.
This prestigious award showcases community involvement as well as considering the standard of the park itself.
It also recognises the hard work of Bovey Tracey Town Council’s groundsmen Peter Stanyon and Roger Vance and a group of dedicated volunteers.
Bovey Tracey Town Council manages this award-winning site and applied for the award supported by the Friends of Mill Marsh Park.
Mayor of Bovey Tracey Sheila Brooke was delighted to accept it on behalf of the town.
The Royal Horticultural Society assessment took place last September and the results were announced recently at the Southwest in Bloom Spring Seminar.
