FIRST came the rain and then came the snow... such is the changeable weather that fire crews have to deal with when on Dartmoor.

Thursday’s weather brought rain to Devon, but it also brought snow in and around Dartmoor.

Out and about as is their habit, Chagford’s firefighters saw the rain turn to snow.

The crew were out supporting Dartmoor Rescue Team at around 11.30pm.

Elsewhere, the team from Chagford recently held a training night.

This latest training focused on pumping from open water and the use of improvised ground monitors.
