BOVEY Tracey Fire Station has recently received a brand new pump, replacing the old pump of 20 years.
The pump came with new equipment, such as battery powered cutting and spreading gear, all of which was put to good use during a training exercise on Tuesday, October 11.
Crew members from Bovey Tracey Fire Station ran two training sceanarios involving Road Traffic Collisions (RTC) and were able to safely stabilise the vehicles invovled by utilising a new airbag system to raise a vehicle that had trapped a motorcyclist underneath it.
