A FIRE Station crew manager has passed a fire behaviour course.

Crew Manager at Bovey Tracey Fire Station, Jamie Bell, successfully completed the Compartment Fire Behaviour Course at BA Academy.

This means he can train new recruits, as well as give instruction to those attending future BA training sessions.

The course saw Jamie learn about: the fundamentals of fire; fire dynamics; how to organise training and its objectives and much else besides.

It also included practical, student-led training sessions in a container, which can be seen in the photo.

Bovey Tracy Fire Station, via its Facebook page, said: 'Jamie is now awaiting his full BA Instructor course due to take place later on in the year.

'This is a fantastic addition to our station which no doubt will prove beneficial to our crew with BA Training.

'Well Done Jamie!'
