THE sun shone something spectacular as Bovey Tracey’s firefighters raised more than £1,000 for charity at their annual car wash.
Bovey Tracey Fire Station welcomed drivers to their drill yard on Saturday, March 29, as the crew held their car wash in aid of The Firefighters Charity.
The town’s crew and cadets raised an impressive £1,380 for the charity, which specialises in providing both physical and mental support for firefighters and their families.
‘A massive thanks to Dominos Pizza, Co-Op and Ryder’s Bakery for their generous donations of food that kept our crews refreshed throughout the day’ the spokesman added.
