A NEWTON Abbot man was fined £80 for assaulting on a woman.

Liam Ashford, aged 22, of Church Court, St Leonard’s Road, admitted two charges of assaulting the woman by beating on July 13 and 14 of last year.

South and West Devon Magistrates' Court made a community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement. As well as the fine Ashford must pay £150 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £114 to fund victim services.
