Rendells Auctioneers report a wonderfully successful collective sale of farm machinery on Saturday, September 14.

Wifford Farm at Bovey Tracey proved an ideal venue being close to the A38 and  also servicing vendors from Dartmoor and further afield with large crowds attending and bidding enthusiastically in the field as well as online bidding via the Marteye system  for absentee bidders. 

Top price of the day was £11,000 for a 1994 Fiat Agri 110-90 4WD tractor sold to a buyer from Northern Ireland. A further Fiat Agri 4WD Tractor from a different farm being an 82-94  sold for £8,100 to a local buyer. 

A well cared for MF35 2WD 1961 tractor sold for £5,000 to a new home in Buckfastleigh and a McCormick W4 2WD Tractor sold for £1,500 moving to a new home in East Allington. 

Other notable prices included £4,900 for a Posch Spaltfix 3100 Firewood Processor, £4,900 for a Thyrgod T-7 Beet Lifter, £4,200 for a 2015 Yamaha Grizzy 450 Quad Bike. Overall the almost 300 lots on offer saw an 86% clearance rate with keen bidding for the vast majority of items on offer with buyers enjoying the September sunshine. 

Other machinery highlights included £2,300 Welger RP200 Baler, £1,200 12’0 double axle Stock Trailer, £1,050 set of Twose Hydraulic 8m Folding Rollers, £880 Wesley AR Topper, £800 Strimech Silage Grab, £760 single axle Bale Trailer, £720 Vicon PS604/754 Varispreader, £560 7’6 Grain Bucket, various bundles of timber selling to a top of £480 with others at £380, £360, £300, £250 etc etc, £400 Kverneland TA336 Mower, £380 Kuhn Front Mower Conditioner, £360 Honda HP400 Power Barrow, £340 DR All Terrain Mower, £340 Combination Harrows, £320 Landmec Mower, £300 Silage Grab, £280 16’0 Bale Trailer, £280 Wessex Chipper, £230 Iseki Rotavator, £220 3T Tipping Trailer, £220 Ferguson Link Box, £220 Cattle Feeder.
