WIDECOMBE Fair is an annual event in the picturesque Dartmoor village of Widecombe-in-the-Moor which celebrates  traditional rural life.

It’s Widecombe Community Hall CIO, a registered charity overseeing the construction of a new community space for the village.

A spokesman for Widecombe Community Hall CIO said: ‘We are thrilled to announce that we have been chosen as ‘Charity of the Year’ by the Widecombe Fair Committee.

‘We will have a marquee in the Fair Field with the Hall drawings on display, plus a Tombola.

‘There will be an opportunity to buy engraved stones for our ‘Supporting Wall’ and a last chance to buy Quilt Raffle tickets as the draw will happen at Widecombe Fair.

‘Thank you to the Widecombe Fair Committee for this fantastic opportunity and for all the support you have given us.’
