BUDDING archaeologists are invited to find out about Dartmoor’s rich heritage.

The national park has been a home to mankind for thousands of years. During that time we have marked the landscape and left traces of human habitation, resulting in an area of major archaeological importance.

If you are interested in finding out more about this historical resource you are invited to join Phil Newman next Thursday, April 27, at the upper Haytor car park at 10am. He will be leading a walk, ‘The Archaeology of Haytor Downs; Bronze Age to Twentieth Century’, and until 4pm will be exploring the history of this part of the moor.

This event is part of Granite Elements – the Bovey Tracey Parishscape Project.
