Exminster Parish Council has launched an initiative to get to know the thousands of new residents living within its boundaries.
Councillors are keen to engage with new and current residents so they can better understand what everyone thinks about the developing new neighbourhood at Matford. Around 2000 of the new houses built at Matford fall within the Exminster parish boundaries.
Exminster Parish Council has commissioned social enterprise Real Ideas to gather residents’ thoughts. They hope the consultation will help councillors understand residents’ views so they can forge connections, better represent all who live within the parish and create a place that works for everybody.
Councillors believe there could eventually be three settlements within the parish. However, they believe responses gleaned from this initiative could help the parish feel ‘as one’.
Representatives from Real Ideas will be knocking on doors throughout the Parish this week to conduct an initial survey. An anonymous online survey is also available.
