POPULAR food festival Nourish is returning to Bovey Tracey later this month.
On Saturday, September 10, visitors can expect to sample and buy artisan cheeses, preserves, meat, cakes, gin, beer, wine, cordials, vegetables, herbs, liqueurs, cider, relishes, pates, handmade chocolates, oils, pies and even speciality mushrooms.
Established in 2014, this annual event, though paused for the last few years, of course, typically draws more than 2,000 people who fill the length of Fore Street to sample some of the finest local artisan food and drink. Visitors can also discover a perfect selection of local designer maker crafts at the local Methodist chapel and revel in the sumptuous music performed by Internationally acclaimed performers.
Fore Street will be filled with a mouth-watering selection of street food vendors drawn from across Devon. Featuring an eclectic, exciting and above all delicious mix of street food flavours from around the world. Difficult decisions will have to be made between Thai noodles, vegan kebabs, wood-fired Italian pizza, Caribbean feasts, Spanish delicacies and that all important coffee hit.
The festival is also renowned for its stunning music programme as some of the finest artists from across Europe have entertained packed local venues.
This year Tenebrae, one of the very top British choirs, with a rich, varied programme of beautiful and cleverly arranged music with a broad appeal for everyone to enjoy will perform on Saturday evening at the Parish Church. Tickets £25, and £5 for under 18s.
A fabulous lunchtime concert will also be held at the Baptist Church where rising star Sara Dowling, voted Best Vocalist in the British Jazz Awards 2019, will perform accompanied by Dario de Lecce on bass and Ross Stanley on piano. Tickets £10, and £5 for under 18s.
