A RETELLING of a legendary tale comes to Exeter’s Northcott Theatre at the end of this month.
Camelot is in trouble. King Arthur knows that if he doesn’t turn things around, this civilisation will be forgotten, and be known as nothing more than a rather dull time in British history.
But when three hapless squires approach him about changing that legacy… a legend is born.
Teaming up with one of UK theatre’s best comedy writers and directors, John Nicholson and award-winning funny men Le Navet Bete are back with a brand-new laugh-out-loud show for the ages.
KIng Arthur is a comedy for the whole family, this hilarious retelling of the Arthurian legends will have audiences crying with laughter and become part of the legend themselves.
From performing in the street to whoever would watch to touring into some of the UK’s most beautiful mid-scale theatres, for over ten years Le Navet Bete have been creating bonkers physical comedy theatre for all.
Proudly based in Exeter for all of that time, they became Northcott Associates in 2016 and the theatre continues to work with them as close friends and co-producers.
Their two most successful shows with the theatre have been their madcap take on Bram Stoker’s Dracula (Dracula: The Bloody Truth) and the raucous comedy adventure The Three Musketeers. The latter has now been seen by over 18,000 people across the UK.
The production runs at the Northcott from October 29 to November 2. Ticket details and performance times are available from the theatre’s website https://exeternorthcott.co.uk.
