TEIGN Choral Society’s spring concert – Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat – will be performed at the Church of St Michael, Teignmouth.
Tickets for the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical on Saturday, May 13, at 7.30pm, will cost £10.
The society’s Nigel Berryman says: ‘It’s hurtling towards us – this much anticipated story of the spoiled brat Joseph, his seething brothers and the much lauded coat that has such an effect, bringing on strange dreams which give rise to actions that lead to unforeseen elevation for Joseph, uplifting lessons for everyone and, eventually, a wonderful conclusion with a warm and the rousing finale which will inspire the audience to join in the celebrations.
‘It will be conducted by David Bowles, with wonderful soloists Naomi Heffer and James Otieno.
‘The ethereal and uplifting A Major mass of Czech icon Antonin Dvořák will provide an intriguing atmosphere to get the concert underway.
Tickets, which will include refreshments and a programme at the door, are available from Teign Music, Carlton Place, Ashleigh Way Post Office and Regent Style, Regent Street.
