PUPILS at one Newton Abbot school went back in time to learn all about the Victorian times.
Passmore Class at Wolborough Primary School discovered just how strict classrooms were in the Victorian era – and many of them found out what it was like to stand in the corner with a dunce’s cap on.
The inquisitive bunch spent the day learning arithmetic, handwriting, geography and the times table.
They also learned to sing the National Anthem and played Victorian games.
A school spokesman said: ‘It was a fun day but everyone was glad that they didn’t have to stay in Victorian times!’
