THERE were six crimes in the Bovey Tracey area during the past month, which involved four assaults – there were offenders or suspects for all of them – and two incidents of threatening messages.

PCSO Paul Wilson told a town council meeting that from April to September 13 the recorded crime and overall incidents were down on the corresponding period last year.

He added that during August and September a speed-watch had been carried out in Le Molay Littry Way, during which drivers who were speeding were given advice.

‘You can only give so much advice to people before you take enforcement,’ warned PCSO Wilson.
