Julieanne Fewings, of Newton Abbot, has been recognised for her invaluable contribution to local sport at the Devon Sports Awards.The awards, held at the Exeter Chiefs' Sandy Lane home on Thursday last week, saw Julieanne first recognised as Volunteer of the Year (Senior), before going on to be awarded the most prestigious prize at the ceremony – Outstanding Contribution to Sport in Devon. The accolades follow Julieanne's earlier success at Teignbridge Council's Teignbridge Sports Personality of the Year Awards last November, where she won the Services to Sport (community) award.Organised by Active Devon, the Devon Sports Awards recognised athletes, coaches and volunteers from all over the county. Julieanne was stunned into silence as she collected her award from Britain's top woman pistol shooter, Georgina Geikie. <
