DOG owners are being warned to be vigilant after suspected hemlock was seen washed up on the coastline at Teignmouth.
Hemlock, which looks and smells like parsnips, can be poisonous to animals.
It has been reported to have possibly washed up at Teignmouth and possibly neighbouring coastlines too.
Dog owners are warned to be on their guard and keep pets on a lead when walking near the coast.
Teignbridge Council has issued the warning and asked if any is seen, it should be reported to the authority’s resorts team by emailing [email protected]
