Dawlish Chamber of Trade and Commerce launched a Small Business Academy on Monday (February 10) to help local entrepreneurs develop and grow.

Businesses from around Dawlish and beyond can book sessions covering everything from marketing to human resources.

‘The economy isn’t the best at the moment and we really want to help businesses weather the storm as much as we can,’ said Dawlish Chamber chair Colin Jolliffe.

As the Small Business Academy, which will be based at the Dawlish Work Hub, launched there were about 20 different seminars organised with around 37 different companies booked on including five new start-up businesses. Some seminars have proved to be so popular that the Chamber is having to put on additional sessions.

Each seminar is limited to 14 attendees to ensure everyone can interact and get involved.
