DARWIN the tortoise had a brush with the law this week!

Teignmouth and Dawlish Police have posted this fabulous picture on their Facebook page.

They say: ‘We hope you have a wonderful day!

This is Darwin who is eight years old!

‘She was being taken for a walk when we were passing #LetsHaveAGreatDay #LoveMyJob ‘

Naturally it has received lots of likes and comments with Chas Hurley of Dawlish pointing out: ‘She is only six years old. African spurred tortoise will reach 100 lbs when grown up.’

So the long arm of the law might have to get a lot longer…
