A MAN from Newton Abbot has denied having under age sex with a 15-year-old girl.

Paul Hemmings, aged 59, who is now in custody at Exeter Prison, pleaded not guilty to ten counts of sexual activity with a child when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court. 

All the allegations relate to different sexual allegations against the same girl and are all alleged to have been committed between October 15 last year and January 4 this year. 

They include allegations of full sexual intercourse.

Judge Peter Johnson adjourned the case for a trial at Exeter on July 22 and remanded Hemmings back into custody.
