A DRIVER caught going over 70mph on the A38 has been fined £100 and banned for six months.
Simon John Yates, aged 54, of Taurus Street, Sherford, admitted he drove at over 70mph on the A38 from Haldon Hill to Wobbly Wheel on January 1 of this year.
He was also ordered to pay £90 costs and a £50 surcharge to fund victim services.
He was banned ‘due to repeat offending’ and his licence endorsed with three penalty points.
At the same hearing he admitted speeding, over 30mph, in Plymouth on December 6 last year and similar offences at Yealmpton on November 7 and 28.
He was fined £100 and given three penalty points for each of these charges.
