OPTIONS for a mobile postal service serving Buckfastleigh and the surrounding area are being explored by a district councillor.

Newly elected to Ashburton & Buckfastleigh ward, Cllr Stuart Rogers is exploring all the options available to provide a mobile Post Office service to Buckfastleigh and other rural communities.

This was one of the key takeaways from a recent meeting of Buckfastleigh Town Council.

Elsewhere, the council was pleased to appoint Cllr Huw Cox as Chairman and Mayor, Cllr Sue Clarke as Vice Chairman and Deputy Mayor, and to welcome new Councillor Emma Fitzpatrick.

Also, the council is looking to co-opt as many as four councillors to join its ranks.

What skills do you have to offer? What would you like to achieve in your community as a Councillor?
