Weymouth welcomed Young Farmers members from across Dorset, Devon, Somerset, Cornwall and Wiltshire to our annual South West Area competitions weekend.

Newton Abbot YFC had 16 members attend for a weekend of competing, socialising and meeting members from across the south west of England.

It was a great weekend had by all and a huge congratulations to one of our members who came second in the speaking competition ‘Situations Vacant’, qualifying for the national round in July.

The competition consists of members applying for an advertised job and submitting a CV and covering letter before sitting a formal interview for the job as though they were running for it in real life – a true demonstration of how YFC gives members key life skills throughout competitions!

Most recently, the club came together at Mole Valley car park last weekend to hand wash more than 30 cars.

We’d like to thank Mole Valley for having us and for all those who supported us by coming to get your car washed!

This year, we will be celebrating 90 years!

We will be having a 90th ball in June and are still welcoming sponsorship for this event, so please get in touch.
