RESIDENTS of Kingsteignton has the opportunity to enjoy their own community festival earlier this month.

The  town council-organised event, which  took place on August 10 in the grounds of the Community Hall, offered a range of activities and proved a hit with residents of the town.

Live music, magic, entertainment, inflatables, surf simulator, games, hot food and  cold refreshments, hot beverages and cake, licensed bar, ice creams and candy floss were all on the bill 

 ‘It really was great event with several hundred people turning up across the day. ‘ said organiser Bex Hooper.

‘We had live music Pure Diamond, Roger Styles and The Liberty Sisters that had people dancing in the marquee.

‘Children were entertained by Merlin the Entertainer and Mane Events were kind enough to provide a range of inflatables to bounce around on, a surf simulator and games, all free of charge.’

Local community groups were also in attendance, displaying what their activities inside the hall.
