Collaboration was the theme of the fourth Dawlish Chamber Business Breakfast yesterday morning (Thursday May 16).
Around 50 business representatives from around the town, along with MP Anne Marie Morris, Councillor Martin Wrigley and Mayor Lin Goodman-Bradbury, had set an early alarm to gather at The Smugglers Inn for the 7am start.
Lin Goodman-Bradbury said the event was a great initiative and that is keen to see more business collaboration across the town.
Chamber chair Colin Jolliffe added that the event was ideal for businesses to work together build their networks. He pointed out that the Chamber is building its strategy, based on local regeneration and tourist strategies. ‘We want to deliver amazing resources and support,’ he said.
Councillor Wrigley told attendees that Teignbridge Council’s new strategic plan, ‘One Teignbridge’, would see the development of ‘a community-powered council’ that would work together with other councils across Devon. He urged businesses to complete a survey on the Council’s priorities.
