Fairtrade cocoa grower Nicholas Kwame Adjei-Gyan was guest of honour when Bovey Tracey Fairtrade Group held a schools conference on Wednesday.
Pupils from Chudleigh Primary School, Bovey Tracey Primary School, Widecombe Primary School and St Catherine's Primary School, Heathfield, attended.
'They learned about what Fairtrade means,' said Liz Westwood, of Bovey Tracey Fair Trade Group, who organised the conference.
'I think they all enjoyed it. It's the second year we've arranged this conference and I think it's bigger and better than last year.'
They watched a DVD about Fairtrade and heard about Mr Adjei-Gyan's business.
They also got the chance to ask him questions and played Fairtrade bingo.
