THE Chudleigh Police Sector had the lowest reported crime rate in the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary in the past year.

That is top of the league in the 29 police sectors in the two counties and a feather in the cap for the police and community working together.

There were just 1,216 reported crimes in an area covering some 300 square miles, stretching from Dean Prior to the Teign Valley and as far as Tedburn St Mary and swinging around to Exminster on the other side.
