AWARD winning dog groomer Kelly Gayler will star in the new BBC series Pooch Perfect on Thursday evening.
Kelly, who runs the KJG Dog Grooming Academy in Chudleigh, spoke this week of her exciting filming experiences in the reality TV competition.
‘Teaching others how to groom and handle dogs compassionately is my passion.
‘I got through nearly a thousand groomers to compete on the UK’s first series of Pooch Perfect on BBC1.
‘It is a reality competition on the hunt for Britain’s best groomer, a little like Bake Off or Master Chef.
‘It is my heat/episode on Thursday.
‘I’m very nervous as I am a very shy person.
‘It was an unforgettable and experience and probably one of the hardest challenges of my career.
‘I have previously completed all over the county and have won every competition I have entered.
‘This was much harder. I met some great people and all the producers were so good at looking after us and keeping us Covid safe.’
The show is on BBC1 at 8pm.
