LOCAL cancer charity Cancer Lifeline South West is inviting children to write letters and draw festive pictures for Father Christmas and indulge in other festivities in the lead up to Christmas at an event in Chudleigh this weekend.
The Festive Fundraiser takes place at Chudleigh Town Hall this Saturday (November 16), and Father Christmas himself will be on hand to eagerly collect the letters.
Children are encouraged to bring their own letters along, but for those who may need a bit more time, a dedicated Children’s Craft Table will be available, allowing them to channel their creativity before placing their letters into a festive post box.
The events srarts with a coffee morning at 10am, setting the stage for a bustling craft fair that will run from 11am to 3pm.
Father Christmas is expected to make grand entrance around 1:30pm, bringing with him some holiday cheer. He will take the time to chat with children and parents, giving out small gifts, and of course, collect the heartfelt letters to read on his journey back to the North Pole.
While the kids are busy engaging in festive activities, parents can enjoy browsing an array of craft stalls showcasing handmade gifts. Gifts on offer include everything from handmade bags to door stops and teddies.
You can grab some sweet treats or spoil your furry friends with dog toys and bandanas and there will also be face painting, a prize draw, hot drinks and a selection of snacks.
Cancer Lifeline South West plays a vital role in supporting individuals at the end of their cancer treatment by offering free therapeutic 'Time to Retune' breaks.
