A CARELESS driver from Kingsteignton has been banned for a year.
James Kenneth Braye, aged 28, of Barns Close, admitted driving a Mercedes C350 without due care and attention at Torquay on August 17 last year. He was fined £276 and his driving record endorsed.
Bray also admitted driving the BMW without insurance. He was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £276. He and must pay £500 compensation. He must also pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £221 to fund victim services.
He further admitted driving without a licence for a vehicle of that class. No separate penalty was imposed for this but his licence was endorsed.
