A CARAVAN caught fire on a Dawlish holiday park this afternoon, Monday.
Firefighters from Dawlish, Teignmouth and Middlemoor have been dealing with the blaze since around 3.30pm.
A Fire Control spokesperson reports: ‘We received several calls reporting a caravan on fire at the above location.
'Three fire appliances, and an operational assurance officer were mobilised immediately.
‘On arrival the crews confirmed that there was a caravan on fire within the holiday park and they were using a hose reel jet and foam jet to control the fire.
‘This was quickly escalated to a foam jet, main jet, and covering jet.
‘The fire was extinguished and is believed to have started accidentally due to a faulty electrical heater.’
