A car engine caught fire at Ide today, Saturday.

Fire Control reports it received a call shortly before Noon: ‘One fire appliance attended a small fire in the engine bay of a car. 

‘Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which was deemed accidental ignition. 

‘A small amount of damage was sustained, and duty of care was left with the vehicle owner.’
