A CAR caught fire in Newton Abbot early this morning, Easter Sunday.
The town’s fire fighters were called out at 5.20am to deal with the blaze.
Fire control sent one Fire Appliance from Newton Abbot.
A spokesperson raid: ‘Once on scene crews confirmed a vehicle with a fire affecting the engine bay and got to work to extinguish the fire.
‘Crews managed to successfully extinguish the fire which caused 10 per cent fire damage to the engine bay.’
Crews used: 2 Breathing Apparatus; 2 Hose Reel Jets; Small Tools; Thermal Imaging Camera
‘This fire was believed to be accidental,’ said the spokesperson.
